PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film supply roll replacing method and its replacing device capable of efficiently supplying a film, by quickly determining the fact even when switching processing of a film supply roll is not normally performed. SOLUTION: This film supply roll replacing method is formed by using a switching means 24 for switching a supply source of the film F1 to the other roll R2 from one roll R1 for pulling out and transferring the film F1 with any one roll R1 as the supply source, by detachably journaling the rolls R1 and R2 formed by respectively winding the films F1 and F2 on a plurality of shafts 21a and 22a. The replacing method performs processing for determining whether or not the switching processing of the switching means 24 is normally performed on the basis of a detecting signal of rotation detecting means 21b and 22b for detecting rotation of the respective shafts 21a and 22a.
