PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the specification of the cause of a failure when a serious trouble requiring a repair occurs and to improve maintenance in a washing machine having a nonvolatile storage means storing troubles occurring during operation. SOLUTION: The region of the nonvolatile storage means storing troubles is divided into at least two or more. When a trouble detecting means detects a trouble, this washing machine distinguishes it as a trouble occurring in the regular use and being restartable after the improvement, or a trouble stopping the operation and requiring a repair; sorts it along with an executing step and stores it in the respective regions.
