PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray tube supporting device in which the rotation angle or an image pick up distance of an X-ray tube is displayed so as to be precisely and easily read out. SOLUTION: A rotary movement unlock switch 11 of an operation panel 8 is turned on, the signal of the same is transmitted to a display control section 17 and a control section 14, a lock mechanism is unlocked, and the X-ray tube 7 is turned into a desired angle by handle operation. At that time, a rotary angle detector 15a detects the angle, and the signal is transmitted to the display control section 17 and a calculation section 16c via an electric converting circuit 15b. At the same time, a vertical position detector 16a detects the position of the X-ray tube 7, and the signal is transmitted to the calculation section 16c via an electric converting circuit 16b. The image pick up distance is calculated based on the signals on the rotation angle and the vertical position and is transmitted to the display control section 17. A digital display 13 displays an angle when the rotary movement unlock switch 11 is turned ON, the display 13 displays the image pick up distance with the X-ray tube 7 being in a horizontal or vertical position when the switch 13 is off, and the display 13 displays an angle when the X-ray tube 7 is in an inclined position.
