The invention relates to a method for shaping a metallic hollow body in a shaping tool (1, 20, 50) at an elevated temperature and a certain internal pressure. According to the invention, at least one end of the hollow body (5) protrudes from the shaping tool (1) while the embodiment of the tool shape and/or the shaping parameters acting upon the hollow body are selected such that the hollow body (5, 59) essentially keeps the original shape outside the tool (1, 20, 50) and the supply of material is ensured. Also disclosed is a tool especially for carrying out the inventive method. Said tool is made entirely from a homogeneous ceramic material while the component is heated in an inductive manner. The cavity of the tool is provided with an additional tribological coating so as to reduce friction of the component on the wall and/or affinity of the component to the material of the cavity wall. |
