<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aqueous ink composition which satisfies both high gloss at the time of print recording on an exclusive paper sheet and high color development at the time of print recording on a plain paper sheet. <P>SOLUTION: The aqueous ink composition comprises a coloring material dispersion comprising a surface-treated pigment, a weak alkalinization agent, acetylene glycol or an ether derivative thereof, a moisturizer, a water-soluble and/or a water-dispersible additive resin and water, and is alkaline, where at least one combination of the weak alkalinization agent, the moisturizer and acetylene glycol or the ether derivative thereof mutually dissolving one another is contained. Thus, the aqueous ink composition ensures ink jetting stability and ink preservation stability and further satisfies both high color development at the time of print recording on the plain paper sheet and high gloss at the time of print recording on the exclusive paper sheet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
