<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve visibility obliquely from below although reflection of a display image of a liquid crystal panel on a windshield is effectively prevented. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device 1 is provided at a center top-surface part of an instrument panel (not illustrated) in front of a driver's seat. The liquid crystal display device 1 is provided with an optical filter 4, which limits the projection direction of light from a back light 3 with many louvers 6, between the liquid crystal panel 2 and back light 3. The louvers 6 have a half-mirror structure (high transmissivity) which has a low reflection factor on the top-surface side and a high reflection factor (low transmissivity) on the reverse-surface side, and are arranged longitudinally in parallel at equal intervals while directed at right angles to the surface direction of the optical fiber 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
