<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron emission device provided with a cathode having excellent field concentration effect and having a high electron emission characteristic. <P>SOLUTION: The electron emission device provided by this invention is provided with, typically, an insulating porous body 20 which is an insulating porous body 20 disposed on a support base material 11 and has a porous structure wherein pores whose diameters mutually approximate each other in a prescribed cross section are regularly arranged, cathodes 16, 25 constituted mainly of the conductive materials 25 formed in at least some pores of the porous body 20, and an anode 18 disposed near a tip part 25 of the cathode 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
