PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an error between a calculated consumption amount of ink and an actual consumption amount of ink as much as possible. SOLUTION: An inspection operation is carried out by an inspection pattern forming process of forming an inspection pattern on a recording sheet by ejecting ink droplets, a color information acquiring process of acquiring color information of the inspection pattern formed as specimen color information in the inspection pattern forming process, and a deviation information acquiring process of acquiring deviation information of the specimen color information acquired in the color information acquiring process with respect to reference color information of the inspection pattern formed by ejecting ink droplets in a reference liquid amount. The deviation information acquired by the inspection operation is stored in a nonvolatile memory device. The reference liquid amount in the calculation of the consumption amount of the ink is corrected from the deviation information stored in the nonvolatile memory device.
