PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressurization mechanism for a fixing belt which does not need more highly accurate parts than conventional constitution. SOLUTION: A fixing apparatus is provided with: a fixing roller with a heater installed inside; an endless fixing belt;, an entrance roller installed inside the fixing belt and installed upstream in paper conveying direction of a fixing apparatus; a separating roller installed downstream in the conveying direction of the fixing apparatus and brought into a pressurized contact with a fixing roller through the fixing belt; and a pressurizing member installed between the entrance roller and the separating roller inside the fixing belt and pressurizing the fixing belt to the fixing roller, wherein each end part of a pressurization mechanism is supported by a same side board in the separating roller and the pressurizing member, one of the separating roller and the pressurizing member is fixed to the side board and movement of the other can be only be made in one direction to the fixing roller.
