METHOD OF REMOVAL OF VOLATILE SUBSTANCE IN LATEX

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of removal of volatile substances in latex which controls the problem that the polymer particles constituting the latex are destroyed and form coagula without requiring complex equipment. SOLUTION: The method of removal of volatile substances in latex is a steam stripping method by which volatile substances are removed by blowing steam into the latex containing the volatile substances. The linear velocity of the steam blown into the latex is 20-200 m/sec and the temperature of the steam is 100-180°C. Preferably, the steam is blown right below or diagonally below, which renders an adequate agitation effect to the latex. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
