PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic capable of being colored in various colors without impairing characteristics of tourmaline, and utilizing and improving its characteristics as much as possible. SOLUTION: This ceramic is obtaied through following processes. (1) A tourmaline-containing glaze is applied on a ceramic prepared by mixing alumina, and then the ceramic is fired at a low temperature. (2) A glaze prepared by using copper as a raw material is applied on the ceramic prepared by mixing alumina, and then the ceramic is fired at a low temperature. (3) A low level radioactive substance is mixed into the above ceramic. (4) The above ceramic is coated with a liquid containing silver or gold and then fired. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
