PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a banknote binding machine capable of binding banknotes so as to be easily unbound. SOLUTION: A binding tape T is fed from a tape feeder unit so as to be turned around the periphery of stacked banknotes S with loose banknotes of the predetermined number stacked, the binding tape T is cut by a cutting means, and the cut side of the binding tape T is heat-bonded to the tip side of the binding tape T by a bonding means. The bonding means heat-bonds the binding tape T while forming a non-heat-bonded part 110 which is not heat-bonded on a terminating end on the cut side of the binding tape T.
