<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print files of various data formats without installing any driver unique to a printer in a client computer. <P>SOLUTION: A user connects a card PC10 to a PC card slot 201 of a user CP200, and stores a print file 50 whose print is desired in the card PC10. The user replaces the card PC10 from the user PC200 to the printer 100. The card PC10 receives power supply from the printer 100 by using its connection to the printer 100 as a trigger, and converts the print file 50 into an EMF file 60 as shown in Figure, and outputs it to the printer 100. In this case, the card PC10 receives specification data such as resolution or setting data such as sheet sizes from the printer 100, and prepares an EMF file, and outputs it to the printer 100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
