<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for producing fine particles, by which spherical fine particles having a uniform size can be surely produced. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus 100 for producing the fine particles is equipped with a hole 4 for discharging a melt 1 and making the melt 1 fall as particulate melts 5, and a first solenoid coil 6 and a second solenoid coil 9. In the apparatus, a static magnetic field is applied to the particulate melts 5 falling at the lower part of the hole 4 in a direction crossing the falling direction A-A and the first solenoid coil 6 and the second solenoid coil 9 are provided to make the direction as the axis 7 direction. Thereby, the fine particles 8 having uniform sizes can be produced by surely preventing mutual coalescence of the particulate melts 5 by applying Lorentz force having different magnitudes to the particulate melts 5 falling at different falling speeds. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
