PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber pigtail whose tensile strength is stable and whose covering material is not damaged. SOLUTION: In the optical fiber pigtail 1, a chrome thin film, a chrome-copper alloy thin film, a copper thin film and a gold thin film, or the chrome thin film, the copper thin film, a nickel thin film and the gold thin film are laminated at least in this order on the side of a covering elimination part of the optical fiber.
