PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of reverse transcription while suppressing upsizing and cost increase in an electrophotographic image forming apparatus which forms a multi-color image. SOLUTION: A color laser print 1 with which the multi-color image is obtained by sequentially transcribing each color toner image (positive polarity) of magenta (M), cyan (C), yellow (Y) and black (BK), is provided with an ion supply unit 20 which transmits the ion air containing ion of negative polarity and a feed tube 22 which feeds the ion air to a predetermined part. The ion air fed with the feed tube 22 is blown off from the downstream side of the transfer direction of a paper conveyance belt 6 to each transcription nip part on which toner in the first to third colors (M, C, Y) are transcribed. Thus, an amount of electrostatic charge of a positive polarity toner on paper P which passes the transcription nip parts is reduced and reverse electrostatic change and the reverse transcription to a photoreceptor drum are prevented.
