PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus equipped with a flash where the brightness of a back light is not fluctuated even when emitting light from the flash while keeping the back light on, thereafter, starting to charge a main capacitor. SOLUTION: In the case the battery voltage is lower than a 1st threshold voltage, and also, the charge voltage of the main capacitor is lower than a 2nd threshold voltage, a pulse train signal with the controlled duty ratio is supplied to a charging circuit, then, a control of reducing the peak current Ipeak of the main capacitor is performed.
