PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for protecting a copyright even for image data prior to the application of an image processing. SOLUTION: The technology includes an imaging section and a directly embedding section. The imaging section takes a photogenic object to produce the image data comprising color information having one color constituent for one pixel as well as color information on a plurality of pixels. The direct embedding section embeds electronic watermark information in the image data depending on an image processing parameter before the image processing is applied to the image data. Accordingly, even if necessary image processing such as color interpolation is applied to the image data subsequently, the information embedded is not much damaged.
