PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of quickly executing image processing. SOLUTION: An image processing method comprises a process for executing a first processing step to a selected notable block image and writing the processed notable block image into a built-in RAM (a), a process for executing second processing step to the processed target image including the processed notable block image stored in the built-in RAM and the processed peripheral image in the vicinity of the processed notable block image (b), and a process for repeatedly executing the processes (a) and (b). The process (b) includes a process for writing a duplication use image which forms a part of the processed notable block image and is used in the second processing step prepared for other block images into an external RAM region. The process (a) includes a process for writing the duplication use image into the built-in RAM as a part of the processed peripheral image by reading the duplication use image already used in the second processing step for the other block images and also used in the second processing step for the notable block image from the external RAM region.
