PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retrieval system for retrieving data intended by a retriever by designating a keyword from a large amount of data set such as a database for improving the adaptation rate of a retrieval result by excluding retrieval result data different from the intention of the retriever, and for improving retrieval efficiency as a result. SOLUTION: Under the consideration of adjective words and phrases existing in a keyword designated as a retrieval keyword, noun words and phrases modified by the adjective words and phrases are extracted from the keyword, and a retrieval request intention is understood from a dependency relation, and an exclusive term suitable for a retrieval request is automatically added as a keyword, and retrieval processing is executed. Then, the retrieval results are analyzed, and when the retrieval results expressed by adjective are information represented by numerics, whether or not the numerics fit to the sensitivity of a humans is decided, and the retrieval results are narrowed down. Thus, even when the knowledge quantity of the retriever or his or her use experience of the retrieval system is poor, the retrieval result intended by the retriever can be obtained.
