The invention relates to a method for correcting packet data, in particular DAB data packets, in which code words are used across several data packets . According to said method, redundant information is added to correct errors, whilst maintaining the original packet data structure at the expense of an empty data field or a useful data field. The error protection cycle is selected to be a multiple of a minimum variable for a packet length.
