POSITIVE ELECTRODE FOR NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE BATTERY, ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD, BATTERY USING IT, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode for a nonaqueous electrolyte battery, which increases discharge capacity while enhancing initial discharge characteristics and cycle characteristics, and also heightens discharge potential, and also to provide its manufacturing method, a battery using the positive electrode, and a manufacturing method of the electrode.

SOLUTION: In this nonaqueous electrolyte battery provided with: a positive electrode 1 containing a positive electrode active material; a negative electrode 2 containing a negative electrode active material occluding and discharging lithium; and a nonaqueous electrolyte 4, a lithium contained composite oxide is contained in the positive electrode active material, and its composition before initial charge is expressed by a composition formula LiXMOY(M is a transition metal, 1.5≤X≤2, and 0.75≤Y≤4).
