<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately reproduce a two-dimensional (2D) code without error and to photograph an object such as an image different from the 2D code. <P>SOLUTION: While a first processing mode is selected for reproducing original information from a 2D code pattern, the position of a marker is extracted from imaged data of the 2D code pattern obtained from an imaging device 204 by a data processing section 462, the rotation direction of the 2D code pattern and the array direction of data are specified from the position of the marker, the original information is reproduced based on the imaged data of the 2D code pattern, and an object such as an image different from the 2D code pattern is imaged by an imaging optical system.
