PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct a relay between terminals transparently and to simplify a communication sequence in a repeater used for a mobile communication system such as a double hop repeater used for a satellite mobile communication system or the like. SOLUTION: When the double hop is relayed, a signal path from a mobile terminal 7 to a mobile terminal 8 is "mobile terminal 7→artificial satellite 9→satellite antenna 11→repeater master 13→satellite antenna 11→artificial satellite 9→mobile terminal 8", and the signal path from the mobile terminal 8 to the mobile terminal 7 is "mobile terminal 8→artificial satellite 9→satellite antenna 11→repeater slave 14→satellite antenna 11→artificial satellite 9→mobile terminal 7". The repeater master 13 and the repeater slave 13 have a function to exchange control information by which the mobile terminals 7 and 8 can communicate without being aware of the repeater 12.
