PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio intercom system in which a user easily specifies a place of a submaster unit when the submaster unit receives a call. SOLUTION: This radio intercom system includes a slave unit 1 provided out of a door, a master unit 2 provided in a room to communicate with the slave unit 1 with a wireline, and the submaster unit 3 which can be carried to perform a radio communication with the master unit 2. The submaster unit 3 has a call enhancing unit 24 for performing a call enhancing process for generating a call sound continuously for a predetermined time in response to the call from the slave unit 1 or the reception of the extension call from the master unit 2. Therefore, since the place of the submaster unit becomes easy to be recognized in hearing when the submaster unit which can be carried receives the call, the user can specify the place of the submaster.
