PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-convenience security device securing security even when a going-out person is present when going to bed, and not causing inconvenience by homecoming of the going-out person. SOLUTION: This security device monitoring a defense target by an intrusion monitoring sensor or the like has: a sensor 10 detecting abnormality of the defense target; a mode setting part 120 capable of setting a caution mode keeping a part of or the whole area including at least a periphery area of the defense target in a monitoring state, and a waiting mode keeping the periphery area of the defense target in the monitoring state, and waiting admission of a user, as a security mode of the defense target; a notification part 140 giving alarm sound when the sensor of the area in the monitoring state performs detection in the caution mode and the waiting mode; and a control part 110 controlling the notification part. When the security mode is set as the waiting mode, the control part makes the alarm sound when the sensor of a specific area positioned in an admission route of the defense target of the periphery area performs the detection differ from another alarm sound.
