PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the moving operation input and click operation input for a pointer by use of a general pressure sensitive pointing device including an X-axial strain sensor and a Y-axial strain sensor in a signal processor processing a signal outputted from the pointing device. SOLUTION: The pressure sensitive pointing device 11 comprises strain sensors 11a, 11b, 11c and 11d. X-axial strain voltage, Y-axial strain voltage and Z-axial strain voltage are outputted from points 11e, 11f, and 11g, respectively. The X-axial and Y-axial strain voltages are alternately inputted to an operational amplifier circuit 4 by switches SW1 and SW2 when a switch SW3 is ON. The Z-axial strain voltage is inputted to an operational amplifier circuit 3 when the switch SW3 is OFF. The outputs of the operational amplifier circuits 3 and 4 are alternately inputted to an ADC 5 by switches SW4 and SW5, and processed in a digital processing circuit. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
