PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stable structure in a system in which a winding stem is drawn out without directly pressing a setting lever. SOLUTION: In the rear rotary mechanism for a timepiece, which includes an external operation member engaged with a timepiece base and a fall prevention member for preventing the external operation member from falling out, which prevents fall of the external operation member by engaging a head part of the fall prevention member with a ring-like groove part of the external operation member, and which permits the external operation member to be drawn out, by disengaging the fall prevention member from the external operation member by pressing the tail part of the fall prevention member so that the head part is raised, a fixing member 4 having a fixation part 4a fixed to the timepiece base 1, a press part 4b for pressing down the tail part 3b of the fall prevention member 3, and a spring part 4c for connecting the press part 4b with the fixation part 4a is provided. The tail part 3b of the fall prevention member 3 is pressed down by pressing down the press part 4b so that the fall prevention member 3 is disengaged from the external operation member 2.
