PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize a pair of ultrasound transducers for measuring the liquid flow-cum-motion monitoring of a valve body for an opening/closing means. SOLUTION: At least a pair of ultrasound transducers 6, 7 are arranged in the upstream side and the down stream side of the liquid path 1 so that the ultrasound slantingly traverse the flowing liquid, and the transducer 7 of the pair of transducers 6, 7 is arranged on a valve 5 of an opening/closing means 3. The flowing speed and/or the flow rate of the liquid are/is measured based on the transmission time between the ultrasound transducers 6, 7 in the state of the valve 5 is open, and even in the state of the valve 5 is closed, the ultrasound is transmitted between the transducers 6, 7 for monitoring the motion of the valve 5.
