PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot-water storage type water heater capable of reheating in an appropriate reheating temperature condition in response to a situation. SOLUTION: This hot-water storage type water heater heats supplying water by using electric power and stores it inside a hot-water storage tank, and fills a set quantity of hot water at a set temperature X°C on the basis of a hot-water filling command, and concludes filling, and keeps the hot water warm. In the case wherein hot water inside a bathtub gets cold during the heat insulating operation period, this water heater reheats to the set temperature X°C by using a reheating heat exchanger. In the case of reheating when a determination that someone takes a bath is done by using a water level sensor for detecting water level, temperature of the returning hot-water to be returned from the reheating heat exchanger to the bathtub 5 is set to the set returning hot-water temperature previously set in a range lower than the temperature of the hot water output from the heat exchanger and higher than the set hot-water temperature X°C set when filling water. On the other hand, reheating Pa and Pc to be performed except the take-a-bath time is performed at high-temperature, and the hot-water re-heated to the temperature higher than the set returning hot-water temperature is returned to the bathtub.
