PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing whose service life is elongated even when the bearing is used for a compressor operated under lubrication by refrigerating machine oil containing a refrigerant. SOLUTION: In the rolling bearing, a plurality of rolling elements 3 are circumferentially arranged in an inner race 1 and an outer race 2 to be capable of rolling, and the inner race 1 is fixed by a fitting mechanism, and the rolling bearing is used for the compressor operated under lubrication of refrigerating machine oil containing the refrigerant. Carbonitriding treatment is applied to the inner race or the inner and outer races 1, 2, and size stabilizing treatment is further applied to make residual austenite amount of a core part be lower than 5 volume percent and make the austenite amount of a surface be 5 volume percent or more.
