摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that energy absorption at the time of a collision is reduced because the end section of a bumper reinforcement(a bumper beam) collapses upon a collision against the bumper beam from a diagonal direction, particularly, a crack is caused in a joint part of a bumper stay with the bumper reinforcement and a side frame. SOLUTION: The front end of the bumper stay(4) is inserted into the gap between flanges (9, 9) of the front first plate (5) and joined with welded parts(15, 16, 17). The front first plate (5) has a contacting surface (10) and an inclining surface (11). A pressure receiving area is reduced by separating the inclining surface (11) from the back surface of the bumper reinforcement.
