PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door structure for a vehicle restraining intrusion of a door indoors against load input from the side of the vehicle and certainly opening the door even in the case when the door is deformed. SOLUTION: A striker 2 on the side of the door 1 and an engaging part 3a of a catcher 3 on the side of a car body 4 are engaged with each other to be integrated by input of a side surface collision load F, and the intrusion of the door indoors is restrained. The door is opened by pressing the door in the opening direction with a predetermined force or larger to release the catcher 3 from a base member 7 after side surface collision, since the base member 7 to hold the catcher 3 is furnished with a releasing means 6 to release the catcher 3 when a load higher than the predetermined value works on the door in the door opening direction.
