Spreadable granulate of soft resinous and/or rubbery polyisobutylene and solid additive, used together with fluorinated polymer in electrode materials, e.g. for lithium ion-polymer accumulators

A novel spreadable polyisobutylene granulate mixture (A), comprising a soft resinous and/or rubbery isobutylene homo- or copolymer (I) and a solid additive (II), is obtained by (a) exposing (I) and part of (II) to vacuum, (b) mixing these components under pressure to give a high viscosity mass, (c) adding the remainder of (II), (d) exposing the mixture to vacuum and (e) kneading the remainder of (II) into the viscous mass. Independent claims are included for: (A) the preparation of (A), by steps (a) - (e) as above; (B) an electrode material (B), comprising a homogeneous polymer blend of (A) and fluorinated polymers (III); and (C) the production of (B), by compounding (A) and (III) with the remaining electrode material components.
