A convertible needs particularly high lateral supporting panels for stability making it difficult to enter the vehicle in particular in the case of a sports car with a low roof. The new design of a removable car roof is assembled of a central (3) and two lateral parts (2) which can be individually removed. The lateral parts (2) are joined to the upper edges of the doors (1) and are moved simultaneously when the doors (1) are opened, facilitating an easy entering without twisting ones back.
