<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable highly precise correction of image forming conditions by creating test patterns in line with an actual use state. <P>SOLUTION: In an image correction method, the image forming conditions are corrected by creating the test patterns for correcting gradation that successively vary, by using toner on a photoreceptor. A test pattern P for correction varying in series from high to low concentration along with a paper transport direction X is created, by controlling the laser power of an exposure unit while fixing at least either one of a photoreceptor charging potential or development bias. In this case, the full length of the paper transport direction X of the test pattern P for correction is made to be not more than one perimeter of a photoreceptor drum. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
