<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a merchandise information providing system which can be suitably introduced to a video rental shop or the like, and which is beneficial to a customer or store. <P>SOLUTION: This merchandise information providing system is provided with a server for storing merchandise information being the information of respective merchandise and a merchandise information providing terminal connected through a communication means with the server for acquiring the merchandise information from the server.
