PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device for automatically updating a set speed in auto cruising by a radar system. SOLUTION: This navigation device comprises a position detecting device for detecting a traveling position of an automobile 1, a map information storing device for storing the map information, a section specifying device for specifying a section of a road where the automobile 1 travels, from the position detecting device and the map information storing device, a receiving device for receiving the traveling position and the safety speed information 2 at a traveling destination side from the external, and a speed control device for controlling a speed of the automobile 1 by the safety speed information 2.
