PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To respectively provide each of a camera system capable of photographing immediately after a camera head is mounted on a camera body, and to provide the camera body and the camera head. SOLUTION: The camera head is requested to transmit ID information upon the generation of any one event of mounting of the camera head and turning on power source, and the camera head is requested to transmit signal processing information if the received ID information does not match ID information stored in a main body side memory, and the main body side memory is caused to store the received ID information and the signal processing information. Signal processing information for the camera head acquired by a main body CPU and stored in the main body side memory is set on a signal processing section, thereby performing signal processing for an image signal received from the camera head.
