PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a false twist yarn having a specific cross section, capable of providing a fabric having good water absorption/rapid drying properties, fibril feeling and soft feeling and further also having low air permeability and transparency-preventing property, free from defect of warp streak and excellent in quality and to provide a method for producing the false twist yarn. SOLUTION: The false twist yarn having the specific cross section is constituted of a single fiber composed of a polyester containing 0.5-2.5 wt.% specific organosulfonic acid metal salt. The false twist yarn has a flat cross section of fiber having 3-8 recessed parts in the long axis and having 2-7 flat degree and has 4-12% crimp ratio. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
