FLUORESCENT LAMP, COMPACT SELF-BALLASTED FLUORESCENT LAMP, AND COMPACT TYPE FLUORESCENT LAMP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent lamp in which a small size and a high output can be realized by securing a thin and long discharge path without deteriorating a flux of light, and a compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp and a compact type fluorescent lamp.

SOLUTION: The fluorescent lamp comprises an arc tube in which a consecutive discharge path is constructed by nearly straight tube shape members 11a, 1b and a coupling member 11c that is mutually connected to these straight tube shape members at the end portion. The outer diameter of the arc tube to constitute the discharge path is made 6-11 mm and the length of the discharge path is made 500-800 mm.
