PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation supporting system to make warning or display, an automobile, and a control method of a luminous element. SOLUTION: This operation supporting system is furnished with a wiper 8 provided in front of a windshield 12, the luminous elements 70 arranged in the longitudinal direction on the wiper 68, a luminosity control means to make the luminous elements 70 emit light when the luminous elements 70 are positioned at a desired place and a driving control means to drive the wiper 68 at a speed higher than the normal wiping motion when performing display by the luminous elements, and the luminous elements 70 have directivity of the light in a direction toward a driver of a vehicle in a state where the wiper 68 is positioned sideways in the inside of the windshield 12.
