PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easy generation of a recording medium recording an imaging data. SOLUTION: A digital video camera 11 includes a connector 16 on the camera side, being recessed on a side face 12a of a body 12, and records the imaging data into a hard disk unit. Also, when imaging is resumed after a pose button is depressed during imaging, the digital video camera 11 records the stored imaging data location related to a motion picture of which imaging is resumed. Thus, each image related to the imaging start and the imaging resumption is displayed with a thumbnail picture, so that each image can be selected. A recording apparatus 20 can be connected directly to the video camera 11 through a connector 21 disposed on the side face.
