PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation image eraser which efficiently removes noise existing in a storage phosphor sheet while saving space. SOLUTION: A pair of rollers 24 and 26 which are spaced by a prescribed interval and hold a sheet IP between themselves are provided for erasing light source assemblies 12 and 14. Between the pair of rollers 24 and 26 and the erasing light source assemblies 12 and 14, a first filter part 50 transmitting light containing ultraviolet rays and a second filter part transmitting light having a longer wavelength than the light containing ultraviolet rays are made opposed to the sheet IP while being switched by actions of a motor 28, a revolving drive shaft 30 for transmitting torque of the motor 28, pulleys 32 and 34, and a take-up roller 38.
