<p>A thermoacoustic device enabling a reduction in time in which sound wave is generated and a satisfactory heat exchange in stacks. The device (1) comprises, in a loop tube (2), the first stack (3a) held by a first high temperature side heat exchanger (4) and a first low temperature side heat exchanger (5) and the second stack (3b) held by a second high temperature side heat exchanger (6) and a second low temperature side heat exchanger (7). A standing wave and a traveling wave are generated by heating the first high temperature side heat exchanger (4), the second low temperature side heat exchanger (7) is cooled by the standing wave and the traveling wave, or/and the standing wave and the traveling wave are generated by cooling the first low temperature side heat exchanger (5). Then, the second high temperature side heat exchanger (6) is heated by the standing wave and the traveling wave. The standing wave and the traveling wave are generated in the state of sealing, in the loop tube, helium with high sound speed, small Prandtle number, and small specific gravity, and then argon with low sound velocity, large Prandtle number, and small specific gravity is filled therein.</p> |
