<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten time and reduce fuel consumption, in a test for a particulate filter regenerating device. <P>SOLUTION: When the particulate filter regenerating device is tested, firstly an ECU 6 controls an operational status of a diesel engine to be in a first operational status in which particulate is susceptible to generation. An accumulation amount of the particulate required for the test can be obtained in a short time compared with the related art, so that the fuel consumption at that time can be reduced. When the required accumulation amount of the particulate is generated, the regeneration processing of the particulate filter 4 is started.
