A wireless device comprising means for displaying; and means for storing comprising an application catalog having a list of a plurality of applications displayable on the display, wherein the list is arranged based upon one or more predetermined criteria, and a method and apparatus of obtaining an application to download onto a wireless device, the method comprising: requesting an application catalog from an application server on a wireless network, the application catalog comprising a list of a plurality of applications arranged based upon one or more predetermined criteria; receiving the application catalog; and presenting the application catalog on a user interface of the wireless device.
