A stroller comprises a tubular member 41 disposed between left and right wheel axles 61 which is parallel to said axles and offset therefrom, a linking rod 51 mounted rotatably within said tubular member 41 and having two linking ends 512 which extend outwardly of the tubular member to connect to two brake control seats 55. A brake pedal 54 is rotatably mounted on the tubular member and connected to the linking rod by a coupling member 52, which protrudes through a slot 413 in the tubular member 41, such that rotation of the pedal causes synchronous rotation of the brake control seats 55, which in turn causes braking mechanisms 7 to move radially (preferably horizontally) to brake the wheels 62. The brake control seats 55 may interact with the braking members via cams (553 in fig.7), while torsion springs 56 may bias the brake control seats 55 to maintain brake engagement/disengagement.
