A light sensitive material is produced by treating an aluminium support coated with a layer of a phosphinic acid or a derivative thereof as disclosed in Specification 950, 761 with water to remove part of the layer and any dust accumulated during storage and then coated with a light sensitive layer. The light-sensitive materials specified are those of Specification 950, 761 but diphenylamine/formaldehyde condensates, naphtho - and benzo-quinone diazides and benzo-iminoquinone diazides are particularly exemplified. After imagewise exposure and development of the material, a printing plate is formed.</p> |
