The flow controller (10) for a beer circuit (1) in which beer drawn from a cask (4) with the aid of a CO2 supply is fed through a pipe (3) with a coil (2) inside a cooler (7) and a tap (9) contains male and female components with conical surfaces that are adjusted relative to one another to govern the rate at which the beer leaves the tap. The controller can incorporate a spring that adjusts the flow automatically according to the temperature of the beer passing through it.
